Fuzz & Pluck in Splitsville V2 |
 |
The first issue of this mini-series about a plucked rooster (don't call him a chicken!) who doesn't take any guff and fearful little bear was one of our cult favorites last year. The second issue promises even more: After escaping a little girl's bedroom full of clueless stuffed animals, Fuzz meets a dotty old man attempting to run a ferry service and determined to beat out the competition - a bridge. The centerpiece in this issue is a spectacular free-for-all gladiator match that Pluck gets conscripted into after getting fired from the burger joint! Don't let the surrealist trappings for you: This is pure storytelling at it's best! Find out why Stearn is a favorite of Chris Ware, Kaz and David Mazzucchelli, to name-drop just a few.
