Come in or go, but don't leave the curtain open

The original black-and-white inked artwork was begun at Confurence several years ago using the same model who later sat for the "Wolf by Firelight" piece. Coloring it proved an unusual challenge in that the figure was completely inked and shaded -- but the bed was only sketched in and the background didn't exist at all. As a result, three completely different techniques were required: altering the colors of the figure, filling in the colors of the bedding, and creating the bedpost, wall, and carpet from scratch. The tabloid-size print is shown in the thumbnail; other sizes are cropped to fit the shorter, wider aspect ratio.
