Even a struggling actress needs a friend, right? Someone to cuddle up with at night, someone to talk to, someone to play with, someone to brush for fleas and buy dog food for and to bark at the mail carrier...
But a dog is exactly what Catherine "Cat" Denton doesn't need when she's fired from her waitressing job. She seems to inherit one anyway, since it jumps into the back of her truck when she isn't looking. But while this dog is lovable, loyal, and true-blue like most dogs, it has a little something extra - the essence of an alien who has come to earth on a dangerous mission, breaking every law (and we don't mean leash laws, either) in an effort to save the planet from his evil, interstelar race.
