Unlike most of the rest of the nobles, I don't really see the phoenix as playing into any of the petty circle of vanities and posturing as the other mundane animal nobles tend to. She is the noble's noble, if that makes any sense. Very much mystical and truly withdrawn and above it all. If anything, that remoteness is her only fault, for it can result in a passivity and apathy about the needs of the people or some similar call to arms and morality. Such dreaminess is a luxury for those who don't have to deal with the day-to-day problems of class struggle. |
